Cairo Airport to Giza

There are no direct bus connections between Cairo Airport and Giza. The bus from Cairo Airport to the city center departs every 30 minutes between 07:50 and 18:15. You will first need to take the No. 111 bus to Shoubra or the No. 381 bus to Imbaba to Ramses Station, then take a metro, taxi, or bus to Giza. The total travel time is approximately 2 hours.

By Metro

From Cairo Airport, take metro Line 3 to Cairo city center. Then, get off at Ataba station, the last stop on Line 3. There you can transfer to Line 2 and get to Giza station. Travel time is about 20 minutes, and the metro ticket to Giza station costs 15 EGP (0.50 USD) per person. Once you arrive in Giza, you can easily take a taxi or Uber to reach the Giza Pyramids or your accommodation.

By Public Bus

The cheapest way to reach Giza is by bus. Take the No. 355 or 357 bus from Cairo city center to the pyramids. The bus ticket costs around 5 EGP (0.15 USD) per person. The journey time takes 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic.

If you want to travel by bus, bring local money, as you can buy your bus ticket after boarding. Bus numbers are often not clearly visible or written in Arabic, so ask the driver where the bus is going. Buses depart from the area around El-Tahir Square and the Egyptian Museum. Ask locals for the current timetable.
