One of the best photo spots in Tulum is the Ven a la Luz sculpture at the Ahau Tulum Hotel. Because of its popularity, it is incredibly crowded. So if you don’t visit early in the morning, you may find queues snaking and long waits.
Daniel Popper’s magnificent sculpture is 10 meters high, and its woman figure illustrates the deep connection between people and nature. It was one of the favorite Instagrammable places in Tulum.

Previously, the sculpture was free to visit, but now there is an entrance fee of 60 MXN (3 USD).
As Escultura Ven a la Luz is one of the best Instagram spots in Tulum, you may have to wait in long queues during the day for the perfect photo.

2. Matcha Mama
Are you looking for the best Tulum Instagram spots? The lovely swings and surfboard with the sign “I love Tulum so Matcha” are one of the most Instagrammable places in Tulum.
Matcha Mama offers fresh smoothie bowls, cold coconuts, and matcha coffees. So, it’s the perfect place to start your day with a delicious, healthy breakfast.
Matcha Mama is open from 8 AM to 6 PM. You should arrive before the opening time as the café will be crowded in the afternoon.
At Matcha Mama, you must try the Acai Berry smoothie bowl, which is amazingly delicious and will look great in your photo.

3. Follow That Dream Sign
The Follow That Dream sign is one of the best Instagram spots in Tulum. We really loved this spot in Tulum because it’s free to visit, and you don’t have to wait to take photos.
The Follow That Dream sign is located on Tulum Beach Road, right in front of the Lolita Lolita boutique.

4. Cenote Suytun
If you are looking for the best Instagram spots near Tulum, Cenote Suytun is just about 1 hour away in Valladolid.
The Cenote Suytun is underground, with a small hole in the ceiling from which light is beamed directly onto the platform.
The entrance fee to Cenote Suytun is 200 MXN (11 USD).
This beautiful cenote is probably one of the most beautiful places in Mexico, and it is a fantastic experience to stand on the platform.
Cenote Suytun is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Take a day trip to Valladolid and explore the other impressive cenotes.
5. Tulum Ruins
A visit to the Tulum Ruins is the highlight of any Tulum Itinerary, so don’t miss it. See the magnificent Tulum archaeological site, which stands on high cliffs and offers a perfect view of the Caribbean Sea.
As it is close to the beach, be sure to bring your swimsuit! This was one of our favorite Instagram spots in Tulum.
The entrance fee to the Tulum Ruins is 90 MXN (5 USD).

6. Xpu-Ha Beach
The most Instagrammable places in Tulum are the beautiful white sandy beaches with turquoise waters and palm trees. Our favorite beach in Tulum was Playa Xpu-Ha. But Akumal, Playa Ruinas, and Playa Paraiso are also worth a visit.
The Playa Xpu-Ha entrance fee is 60 MXN (3 USD).
The Playa Xpu-Ha is open from 10 AM to 6 PM.

7. Muyil Ruins
Are you looking for more Tulum Instagram spots? The Muyil Ruins are one of the underrated photo spots near Tulum, but well worth a visit.
Exploring the Muyil Ruins was a fantastic experience as we only met a few tourists. The Muyil Ruins are just a 20-minute drive from the center of Tulum.
There are plenty of Mayan Ruins to visit during your stay in Tulum, so we highly recommend a trip to the Muyil Ruins.

8. Laguna de Kaan Luum
Laguna Kaan Luum is just a 10-minute drive from the Muyil Ruins. Kaan Luum Lagoon has a long wooden pier and a beautiful, deep cenote in the middle of the lagoon, which is why it’s one of the best photo spots in Tulum.
The entrance fee to Laguna Kaan Luum is 300 MXN (16.5 USD). The drone ticket is 150 MXN (8 USD).
The Laguna Kaan Luum is open from 9 AM to 4 PM.
We found the entrance fee overpriced for a short visit, but if you have enough time, it’s well worth a visit.
9. Cenote Casa Tortuga Tulum
The cenotes at Casa Tortuga Tulum are stunningly beautiful and great Instagram spots in Tulum. Cenote Casa Tortuga Tulum is just a 15-minute drive from the city center.
The entrance fee is 650 MXN (36 USD) and includes a guide, lifejacket, access to the four cenotes, and the zipline.
Casa Tortuga Tulum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM. There are several impressive cenotes to visit at Casa Tortuga.
TIP
For the best experience, you can book a day tour that includes a visit to the Cenote Casa Tortuga and the Tulum Ruins.
10. Chichen Itza
One of the best Instagram spots near Tulum, and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, is Chichen Itza. Chichen Itza is about a 2-hour drive from Tulum, but if you have enough time, it’s well worth the trip.
For the perfect Instagram shot, arrive in the morning or just before closing time in the afternoon.
The Chichen Itza entrance fee is 614 MXN (34 USD) for foreign adults. You should bring Mexican cash!

11. Azulik Uh May
Azulik Uh May is one of the most popular Instagram spots near Tulum. This is a beautiful art museum located deep in the Mayan jungle. It is about a 30-minute drive from the center of Tulum.
The Azulik Uh May entrance fee is 20 USD and is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.

12. Cenote Azul
The Cenote Azul is a beautiful place located about a 30-minute drive from Tulum, near Playa del Carmen. The crystal clear turquoise water is ideal for snorkeling, swimming, and enjoying the free fish pedicure.

The entrance fee to Cenote Azul is 150 MXN (8 USD).

13. Pablo Escobar’s Tulum Mansion
Pablo Escobar’s former mansion Casa Malca in Tulum has been transformed into a luxury boutique hotel. You’ll find a giant hanging sofa in the middle, with huge curtains made of wedding dresses.
There is a food and drink minimum spend of 1000 MXN (55 USD) if you’re not a hotel guest.
We didn’t have time to visit, but in our opinion, it’s one of the best Instagrammable places in Tulum.
14. Tulum Beach Club Entrances
You can visit the beach club entrances in Tulum for free and take some photos without waiting. If you’re spending more time in Tulum and don’t have a limited budget, spend some relaxing hours in one of the beach clubs.
Vagalume Tulum
In front of the entrance to the Vagalume Tulum Beach Club, you will find a magnificent statue. One hand from the top and the other from the ground will perfectly frame your Instagram shot.
Conestesia Tulum
If you’re looking for a less popular Instagrammable place in Tulum, we suggest visiting the entrance to Conestesia Beach Club. Here, you’ll find a pink bunny head made of straw where you can make some creative content.
Selina Tulum
Tulum is full of beautiful photo spots and many hidden gems. One of the best Instagram spots in Tulum is the entrance to the Selina Beach Club and Hotel, which is a stunning tunnel made of wood.
