The distance between Hoi An and Hanoi is about 800 km, which is 15-18 hours, depending on traffic and mode of transport.

There are no direct flights from Hanoi to Hoi An, as Hoi An has no airport. The nearest airport is the Da Nang International Airport (airport code DAD). Da Nang is the perfect base for discovering popular places in Central Vietnam, such as Hoi An and Hue.

Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, and VietJet Air operate several daily flights from Noi Bai International Airport (airport code HAN) to Da Nang.

Da Nang Airport to Hoi An
The distance between Da Nang Airport and Hoi An is approximately 30 km, and the journey takes only 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
A taxi cost from Da Nang Airport to Hoi An starts from 12 USD, depending on the number of passengers, time of day, etc. If you are not traveling alone, the price is affordable.
Before you get in the taxi, be sure to agree on a price with the driver. The taxi drivers do not accept card payments, so you should bring local money!
Alternatively, book a shuttle bus from the airport to Hoi An, which costs 6 USD per person. The travel time is 45-90 minutes, depending on traffic and number of passengers.
Hanoi to Hoi An by Bus
