How to Get to Bukit Cinta & Parking
The viewpoint is located on the east side of the island in the Karangasem region, about 50 minutes from Sidemen and 40 minutes from Amed. We arrived by scooter, but you can easily get here with a private driver. We parked for free next to the road.
Bukit Cinta Viewpoint Bali
We started early in the morning, and it was still dark because we wanted to see the sunrise, so it was a bit difficult to find the viewpoint. But luckily, there were other people there, so it was easier to spot. In fact, the site is located on a bend, and many banana trees obscure the view.
Be careful, the path to the Bukit Cinta Viewpoint can be slippery. Wear suitable shoes.
Most of the time it is foggy, and you have to be lucky to have clear weather to see the sunrise and the mountain. But sometimes only the top of the mountain is covered in clouds.
There are two viewpoints from which you can take photos, but the lower one gives much better pictures.
The majestic Mt. Agung in the background, surrounded by lush rice fields and palm trees, was an incredible sight. It was one of the most breathtaking views we had ever seen. Mount Agung is an active volcano at 3,031 meters high, the highest and most sacred mountain in Bali. The Balinese believe it is the abode of the gods.
TIP
If you want to eat authentic Indonesian food or have coffee and breakfast in the area, don’t miss the nearby Bali Asli restaurant, which also offers stunning views.
