Bali to Lombok

How to Get to Lombok from Bali

There are three ways to get from Bali to Lombok: by fast boat (1.5-3 hours), slow ferry (4-8 hours), and plane (45 minutes).

The most convenient and fastest way to get to Lombok is by speedboat or plane.

Lombok Island has 3 ports: Bangsal Harbour (the most popular), Senggigi Harbour, and Lembar Harbour.

Scroll down for more information about which port is perfect for you, how long the journey takes, and how much the ferry ticket costs.

How to Get from Bali to Lombok by Ferry

Slow Ferry (The Cheapest Way to Get from Bali to Lombok)

The slow ferry is the cheapest way to get to Lombok. The downside is that it is uncomfortable, and the journey is long.

Several public ferry services run daily from Padang Bai Harbour to Lembar Harbour.

The slow ferry ticket costs 75,000 IDR (4,50 USD) per person, and the journey takes about 4-8 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the harbor.

Once you arrive in Lembar Harbour, you will need to travel an additional 1 hour to reach Kuta or Senggigi.

We do not recommend this option as the journey can take a long time, and the costs add up quickly. To arrive at Bangsal Port is a better choice than Lembar Harbour.

From Sanur Port to Lombok

This port is ideal for those staying in South Bali, such as Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, or Canggu.

From Sanur Port, we took the Starfish fast boat. The boat’s route was Nusa Penida – Gili Trawangan – Gili Air – Bangsal Port, Lombok.

Fast boat tickets start from 24 USD per person, and travel time is approximately 5-6 hours.
